Health Education Community Initiatives

Schering-Plough strives to make a difference in the communities it serves by investing in a variety of groundbreaking initiatives that advance the well-being of communities. Areas of interest include community health, pediatric health, teen substance abuse prevention, workforce development and economic development.

Our Priorities in the Community:

• Non-profit organizations supporting communities where many of Schering-Plough’s employees live and work, including New Jersey, California, Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Puerto Rico

• Youth organizations

• Initiatives that support women and minorities

• Arts and cultural organizations
  

• Libraries, schools, rescue, fire, police and other key municipal services

Hundreds of Schering-Plough U.S. colleagues volunteered as part of the 2007 Community Projects Day. Colleagues rolled up their sleeves to paint rooms, renovate landscaping, entertain the elderly, deliver meals to the homebound, sort clothing and food donations, read to young children and many other tasks.
